Nordson proposed a test to a customer to show the real savings that could be achieved with a small modification to the glue application system.
The test used a ProBlueFlex with ATM system to monitor adhesive consumption and an EcoBead for stitching.
During the first day of analysis, modifications were made to one of the two applicators installed.
The result was a reduction in adhesive consumption by 30%, which would be 60% if the modifications were applied to both applicators.
After a week of continuous operation, the data was collected and verified with the customer, showing:

The EcoBead was set with program 6-0, resulting in a theoretical reduction of 60% in adhesive consumption.
